Privacy Policy
Updated October 15, 2026
FlowCap helps household members manage a shared budget. This policy describes the information used by the FlowCap iPhone and iPad app and its supporting services.
Information you provide
- Your account: the account identifier, name and email provided when you sign in with Google or Apple. Apple may provide a private relay address instead of your personal email.
- Your household: household name, time zone, membership, roles and invitation recipient addresses.
- Your budget and transactions: the amounts, dates, notes, categories, groups, budgets and recurring schedules you enter.
- Your subscription: Apple transaction identifiers, account association and verified subscription status needed to provide household coverage. Apple processes payments; FlowCap does not receive your full payment-card details.
FlowCap does not connect to your bank or ask for bank login credentials.
How information is used
We use this information to sign you in, synchronize your household, calculate budgets and reports, deliver requested invitations, verify subscription access and protect accounts. Service requests may also process technical information such as device attestation, network addresses and security or error metadata.
Sharing and service providers
Your shared household records are available to its members according to their permissions. Consider who belongs to your household before adding information to transaction notes or other shared fields.
FlowCap uses Google Firebase for authentication, data storage, server operations and app attestation; Google or Apple for your selected sign-in method; Apple for App Store purchases; and Resend for invitation email delivery. These providers process information needed for those services under their own privacy practices.
FlowCap does not sell personal information, display advertising or track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites.
Information on your device
The app can keep downloaded household information and unresolved transaction recovery records on your device to support offline use. Protected sign-out and cleanup flows handle downloaded information without silently discarding unresolved transactions. Secure your device and review household membership when access should change.
Retention and deletion
Canceling or allowing a subscription to expire does not delete household records. Financial access pauses, and records are retained so the household can resume after renewal.
You can request account deletion in Settings → Account. Household owners can delete the household in Settings → Household. Leaving a household or deleting a member’s account does not automatically erase the household’s shared transaction history; attribution may be anonymized. Owner deletion also removes the owned household.
Cleanup can take time to finish. Limited billing, security and deletion records may remain to verify purchases, prevent abuse and prevent deleted information from being restored. Deleting a FlowCap account does not cancel Apple billing; manage or cancel the subscription separately through Apple.
Your choices and questions
You can manage shared information and membership through the app, manage Apple billing through your Apple Account, and contact us about support or privacy requests.
